Why should I choose ZippyBooth?

If you are sick of seeing the same kind of photo booth at every event (same backdrops, same props, and outdated hardware).  If you want something that is quick, simple, and fun.  If you LOVE boomerangs and animated gifs.  If you don’t have enough space for a photo booth.  

No prints?

ZippyBooth creates both still photos and moving images (animated GIFs and SLO-MO video!)  There is no reasonable way to print moving images, so rather than printing, ZippyBooth allows guests to enter their phone number, and then their image is instantly sent via text message!  You also get your own online gallery of all the images.

How to guests receive their images?

Since there’s no way to print moving photos (animated GIFs or SLO-MO video), we chose the easiest, quickest solution:  text message!  After creating the image, your guest simply enters their phone number, and BOOM - they receive a text message with a link to the image/gif/movie they created.

Can we add our names, event name, branding, or logo?

Of course!  You can send us your digital file to add to our screen and to the images, or just let us know the text you’d like added when you book ZippyBooth.  We can print custom backdrops if you request a custom quote, too.

Talk to me about backdrops and props…

You don’t really NEED them with our setup. ZippyBooth is fun because of the movement it captures, and that’s 90% of the fun. We don’t use backdrops at most of our events, but some people do like them. You can bring your own, or we can add it to your package as an upgrade. We do recommend 8 foot tall and 5 foot wide backdrop size.

Do I get all the digital files?

YES - everything is automatically uploaded to your own unique and personalized online gallery.  One of the best things about ZippyBooth is going through your gallery the next day - it’s hilarious to see what your guests created!  You also get a download link to save all of the images.

What if there is no wifi at the event location?

ZippyBooth is still fully-functional and tons of fun for guests even without wifi. If there is no wifi, or wifi is slow, we backup all the images and deliver them when we get back to home-base.  Otherwise you can upgrade to the UNPLUGGED kit, which includes a wifi-hotspot and battery.

What about old people - will they “get” it?

You know, the funny thing about old people, is they are way smarter than we think.  To be honest, most of the time we have to rip older people away from ZippyBooth…just like children.  YES - the touchscreen is incredibly easy to understand, and we’ve never had an issue with older people having fun with it.

Can we use it outside? Is it portable?

Definitely.  Our system is incredibly portable and easy to move around.  You can even add a battery if you don’t have access to power.  You can set it up in the middle of a corn-field and it’ll be a blast…obviously you should bring the party to said cornfield, too ;)

Can we add our names, event name, branding, or logo? What about NEON signs?!

Of course!  You can send us your digital file to add to our screen and to the images, or just let us know the text you’d like added when you book ZippyBooth. If you want one of those hip new LED neon signs, PLEASE contact us first - they need to be dimmable, and they need to be at least 7 feet high so people don’t block them.

How much space does it use?

ZippyBooth fits into VERY small locations.  The actual footprint is just 3x3-feet, but we recommend at least 5x5-feet.  Most people use a 10x10-foot area to leave enough room for others to enjoy it!  If you want a backdrop, then we’ll need a 10x7-foot area.

What does it cost to book?

Simple!  $300 retainer will book your event through our simple online booking system, and then the final balance is due just 30 days before your event.  We accept checks and credit cards as forms of payment.
